microflex® 931 (incl. 932)
The cleaning set for diesel particulate filters (DPF) consists of a nonflammable and metalfree cleaning liquid and a rinsing solution. The process developed and patented by TUNAP functions without time-consuming removal of the DPF.
"We had very successful results! The DPF was so clean it did not need to be regenerated. This provided the customer with a reconditioned DPF for a fraction of the renewal cost."
Clive C. from Hadlow Stair Garage
"The DPF limit was reached and it could not carry out regeneration. After using the TUNAP DPF Cleaning the regeneration started and the car was running and performing normally. Very happy with the results!"
Kieran B. from T.O. Bassett & Sons
"We are highly delighted with the successfull results! TUNAP also offers very good training and support."
Rob K. from Go Vauxhall lewisham

The electronic indicator lights, the vehicle has no more power and an extremely high fuel consumption? The diesel particulate filter has only a limited capacity to store particulates. From a certain amount of soot, the soot particles must be burned in a regeneration process to CO₂ and ashes. Different reasons can cause the regeneration process does not start and in consequence the DPF gets clogged with soot particles.
TUNAP pressure cup spray gun
Remove the pressure sensor or disconnect the filter from exhaust pipe and instert the spraying probe into the opening made with the direction of spraying towards the particulate filter. Flush out the particulate filter after cleaning using the flushing concentrate. Reinstall the pressure sensor or assemble the filter to the exhaust pipe and allow the engine work with varying speeds for approx. 15 minutes. At the end perform a test drive of at least 30 minutes and start the filter regeneration manually using the tester, if necessary.
TUNAP is the first manufacturer to have developed a patented particulate filter cleaning system with which clogged particulate filters can be cleaned in an installed condition, rapidly, simply and significantly more economically than replacing them.
The innovative XFoam-technology detaches persistent contamination in the exhaust and/or air intake system.
microflex® 984 & 989
984 protects injectors from fuel-induced deposits and lowers fuel consumption and emissions to original factory levels. 989 removes from injectors any fuel-related sediment such as deposits of carbon or resin.
micrologic® PREMIUM 184
System Ingredient for all diesel engines with serial and aftermarket installed Diesel Particle Filter. Reduce burn off temperature of the soot in the Diesel Particle Filter caused to adverse drive profile.
The exact saving depends on the particulate filter that is installed. New particulate filters cost approximately € 1,000 to € 1,500, and in many cases much more. TUNAP particulate filter clean-ing costs between € 200 and € 400, depending on the vehicle and service station. In many cas-es, you can save € 1,000 and more.
TUNAP particulate filter cleaning takes place via the inlet of the temperature sensor. The blocked particulate filter is rinsed clean with the special probe. Soot deposits in the particulate filter are removed thoroughly without dismantling the filter.
With innovations and reliable products from our R&D and production and with our comprehensive international direct sales organisation TUNAP is successful and indispensable partner of several industries. More than 30.000 customers are using TUNAP products and systems.
TUNAP inspires with innovative developments and system solutions in the field of chemistry. As the technological market leader in the section automotive TUNAP offers development, production and sales from one source.
The VERT® Association (Verification of Emission Reduction Technologies) is an association dedi-cated to the identification and promotion of best available technologies for emission control. Mem-bers of the VERT® Association include international engine manufacturers and manufacturers of particulate filters and SCR systems.
The chemicals used in TUNAP particulate filter cleaning do not affect components in the exhaust system. This has been tested and confirmed by the German technical inspection authority TÜV Thüringen. If the product is used as intended, the particulate filter cannot suffer any mechanical damage, as the system works with a pressure of approximately 2 bar. The components of SCR and NSC catalysts (mainly installed in EURO 6 vehicles) are also not adversely affected.
Compare the different methods: Purchase of a new particulate filter, particulate filter cleaning with removal and transport and the patented TUNAP DPF Cleaning without removal.
Frequently asked questions about the TUNAP DPF cleaning
There are various reasons for blocked particulate filters. The most common are:
Particulate filters cleaned with the TUNAP system are comparable to new particulate filters. To ensure that the particulate filter functions for a long time, you must find and eliminate the reasons for the blockage, otherwise the filter could clog up again.
TUNAP particulate filter cleaning fluid is not flammable.
The VERT® Association verifies and recommends the effectiveness of the TUNAP particulate filter cleaning process.
Generally, particulate filters only have to be replaced if components are actually defective. When filters are blocked or sooty, it is sufficient to clean the filter.
Basically, SCR and NSC catalysts have nothing to do with particulate filter cleaning. These com-ponents are installed in newer vehicles (mainly EURO 6) to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emis-sions. When the particulate filter is being cleaned, they only come into contact with the TUNAP cleaning fluid when it is being discharged.
To prevent renewed blockage of the particulate filter, you must eliminate the causes of the blockage:
During TUNAP particulate filter cleaning, the soot deposits in the particulate filter are dissolved and are then burned to form CO₂ during normal regeneration of the filter. There are no additional impacts for the environment. We also prevent the environmental damage that arises from the manufacture of a new particulate filter. For example, through raw material extraction and the enor-mous energy consumption during the manufacture of a new part.
